Seeding On Site - SOS
Traditionally, Track & Field meets can either be seeded or unseeded. When seeded in advance, there will be empty lanes and sections that will be non-competitive because of no-shows, etc. Often changes made by clerks are not communicated to the timing crew, which can lead to even more errors and omissions.
Over the past two seasons, DC Timing has worked alongside Athletic.net in developing systems that virtually eliminate these issues, with the added benefit of shortening meet duration.
Utilizing leading technologies that have been created by the teams at Athletic.net and Athletic.live, DC Timing has the ability to do many unique things for your meets. These technologies coupled with our proprietary FAST system will allow your meets to be:
-
FASTER
-
More Competitive
-
More accurate results
-
Easier to follow along online
-
More flexible on entries
-
Better for participants
HOW IT WORKS
Teams and coaches use the entry platform at Athletic.net for the easiest entry path that is available today.
With this fully integrated system, entries are automatically sent to the race management system so there is no mishandling of athlete information while transferring to a separate system.
Meets can be seeded or unseeded.
Clerks have tablets which instantly transfer changes/additions to the timing crew, allowing on-line results to accurately reflect who is on the track in real-time.
When meets are seeded, athletes are checked in by scanning their bibs and scratching those not present. The event is then seeded (using best marks), and athletes are assigned to a lane!
No empty lanes and competitive sections!!!
